At the end of this course, the students; 1) Knows to recognize food additives and their usage purposes. 2) Knows what properties a substance must have in order to be a food additive. 3) Knows the points to be considered during the use of food additives. 4) Knows classification of food additives.

COURSE DEFINITION | In this course, food additives (FA) description and usage, FA safety, regulations, antioxidants, preservatives, flavorers, colorants, sweetening agents, risks and benefits of FAs, negative responses against FAs are aimed to be covered. |
