COURSE DEFINITION
The students will gain knowledge about agricultural practices and its economic impact, sustainable agricultural practices, expectations from agriculture, organic agriculture, principles and purpose, advantages of organic agricultural, organic production demand, organic agriculture practices around world, international agriculture organizations, quality control systems in organic agricultural production, organic agriculture standards, certification and accreditation, soil and its properties, soil organic matter, soil fertility, soil cultivation, soil-water relationship, importance of water in soil, water supply and irrigation water, irrigation methods, alternative crop production, fertilizers and fertilization in organic agriculture, organic fertilizers and nutrients, animal fertilizers, commercial organic fertilizers, liquid organic fertilizers, mineral and microbiological fertilizers, green fertilizers within the concept of this course.
