COURSE DEFINITION
Throughout this course, basic knowledge and techniques about plant cell, tissue and organ culture, plant breeding, applications of plant tissue culture in biotechnology and plant development will be discussed and concepts such as nutritional media, sterilization techniques, explants, micropropagation, callus culture, organogenesis, embryogenesis, somatic variation, haploids, hybrids, protoplast fusion will be covered.
