COURSE DEFINITIONThroughout this course, basic laboratory techniques and nutritional media components, in vitro plant regeneration via organogenesis and embryogenesis, gene transfer to plants via Agrobacterium tumefaciens and particle gun, microinjection and usage of protoplasts for gene transfer, transgenic plants that are herbicide resistant, insect resistant, virus resistant, the worldwide usage of transgenic plants and future look for novel transgenic plants are aimed to be covered.
