Microbiology is a comprehensive department and is divided into many branches. These include medical microbiology, soil-agriculture microbiology, industrial microbiology, space microbiology and marine microbiology, as well as general microbiology, bacteriology, immunology, virology, parasitology and mycology, each of which includes a special group of sciences.
Microbiology is the field of science that investigates the life, metabolism of microorganisms, their relations with the environment and host organisms, their ability to form diseases, isolation-identification methods and treatment methods when necessary.
