At the end of this course, the students; 1) Can present a research idea and create appropriate research design. 2) Possess the processes involved in writing and publishing a research. 3) Can discuss about research methods such as questionnaire, experimental design, implicit measurements, biological measurements, meta-analysis. 4) Can examine the research process within the framework of open science 5) Can explain the ethical rules to be followed throughout the research.

COURSE DEFINITION | The purpose of this course is to relay current information regarding the steps that should be followed to conduct a study from start (research proposal and design) to finish (reporting and publishing the study) and the various research methods (survey, experimental design, implicit measures, biological measures, meta-analysis etc.) from an open science perspective while discussing new approaches to scientific research. In the course, scientific research methods will be addressed in terms of procedural and practical problems, and the ethical rules to follow in all steps of a study will be addressed thoroughly. |
