Qualification Requirements and Regulations

The Master of Arts (M.A) programme in English Language Teaching consists of two phases: courses and thesis. During the first two semesters, the students are supposed to take 8 courses (24 credits). As of the third semester, students are supposed to start studying for their thesis, which will be written in English, under the guidance of a thesis advisor that the Institute of Educational Sciences and the Department of Foreign Language Education will appoint for them. Apart from the compulsory courses, the elective courses that the students will take will be determined by the Department of Foreign Language Education and the thesis advisor.
Masters's degree is awarded to the students who have successfully completed 120 ECTS in the curriculum and have obtained cumulative grade avarage of at least 2.50 on a 4.00 scale.
