Specific Admission Requirements
Candidates for the programme should have :
a Bachelor of Arts (B. A.) degree in either English Language Teaching, English Language and Literature, American Culture and Literature, Linguistics and English Translation and Interpretation. In addition, those with a B. A. degree in any disciplines may also be eligible for admission to the program under certain circumstances listed as in the followings:
a score of 55(at least) from verbal quantity part in the Entrance Examinations of Academic Personnel and Graduate Education.
a grade point average of 2.50 (at least)in Undergraduate Programme
for the ones who have language certificates:
TOEFL (IBT): 75 and above
TOEFL (CBT): 185 and above
TOEFL (PBT): 490 and above
YDS: 80 and above
For the ones who do not have one of the listed language certificates above:
A score of 80 (at least) from Başkent University English Proficiency Exam is required.
The applications of the candidates with a B. A. degree in any discipline will be assessed in accordance with the related department, and they are also supposed to make scientific preparations by taking certain courses (up to 15 credits) from the Undergraduate Programme in English Language Teaching as determined by the members of the department.
