Key Learning Outcomes

  • To be able to contribute to the field in terms of theory and application and to fulfill the scientific research process successfully in order to generate solutions for some problems in the field
  • To be able to identify the social and psychological features of students and apply appropriate evaluation and assessment methods in the light of ethical principles in order to support students' developments
  • To be able to identify objectives regarding their self-development in the field and choose and apply the appropriate strategies for their purposes, evaluate the state of reaching their goals and to be open to innovative ideas
  • To be able to use the language to reach the information, share the information orally and in written form
  • To be able to use Information and Communication Technologies and computer software to the extent that the filed requires ("European Computer Driving License", Advanced Level).
  • To gain sufficient conscience with respect to protecting universal, national and cultural values and human & animal rights and about protecting the environment
  • To be able take into consideration the important issues required for the student, teacher and parent communication and carry out the communication processes and applications successfully
  • To be able to evaluate the principles of inclusion as well as concepts and terms of special education
  • To be able to apprehend the central and local administration of Turkish Education system and perceive the educational and administrative problems of the Turkish Education System and take action towards producing solutions.
  • To be able to implement the effective methods and strategies that help to prevent student misbehaviour inside and outside the classroom, to create desired behaviour, and maintain students' self-control.
  • To be able to implement the theories, principles, methods and techniques related with students' development, learning and teaching.
  • To be able to implement the theories, principles, methods and techniques related with developing curriculum development and evaluation.
  • To be able to internalize and apply the innovative and modern methods, techniques and theories to teach English and to be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to apply them into their teaching
  • To internalize the basic areas of Educational Sciences and utilize the theories and approaches of developmental and learning psychology in order to enable educational development
  • To be able to evaluate, apply and interpret the terms and scientific approaches in the field of English Language Teaching
  • To be able to speak English fluently and accurately; give speeches in informal and formal settings
  • To be equipped with the information Technologies and computer software and to be able to utilize the internet and information Technologies in education effectively
  • To be able to identify the culture of the target language in language teaching and to be able to use literary works such as English short stories, poems and novels to teach and develop language skills
  • To participate in the conferences, symposiums and meetings in the field and to follow the scientific publications in the field
  • To be able to develop materials to improve language skills, to adopt and evaluate the available materials according to the level, interests and learning characteristics of students
  • To be aware of the language acquisition and learning of the learners with different age ranges and with different characteristics and to be able to use language teaching methods and techniques accordingly
  • To develop and evaluate English Language Teaching programme
