Profile of the Programme

Food Technology Program aims to train expert labor force who can work as a technician to meet the changing and developing needs of the sector. Upon completion of the basic courses, emphasis is given to the courses related to the field. The applications of the courses are carried out through on-site training in cooperation with the sector. In order to support and reinforce the knowledge taught in the textbooks in the program, a summer internship with 30 working days and workplace practical training for 16 weeks is compulsory. Graduates of the department have the opportunity to transfer to the programs which are educated with formal or distance education system in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation on the continuation of undergraduate education of the graduates of Vocational Schools and Open Education Associate Programs.
