Profile of the Programme

The Child Development program was established to meet the educational and counseling needs of children with special needs, sick and at risk who normally develop in our country in line with the best interests of the child. The aim of the program is to develop educational programs to support the development of children with special needs and in need of protection and to provide consultancy and publication services (in line with their needs) to individuals, institutions and organizations in the field; The aim of this course is to educate qualified professionals for all units that provide services to child, family and society in the field of child development and education, which can develop projects by using contemporary approaches about children, family, educator and society.

The Program provides a training service aimed at gaining professional skills with modern teaching methods in accordance with the requirements of the period and business life with the principle of lifelong education; to educate professional staff who are based on science and education in the field of child development and education, who can combine theoretical knowledge with practice, can renew and develop themselves in line with the changing and developing needs of the society, can communicate creatively and effectively and fulfill the professional requirements of the profession.

The program is a two-year associate degree program and consists of 4 semesters. The two-year curriculum includes theoretical and practical courses on the development and education of children mainly aged 0-6, also 0-18 age children. Applications are carried out in public and private preschool education institutions and special education and rehabilitation centers. In order to apply and reinforce the theoretical knowledge acquired in the program, a 30-day internship is required. Students who graduate from the program, "Vocational Schools and Open Education Associate Degree Graduates of Undergraduate Education in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation" provisions of the formal or distance education system has the opportunity to transfer to the vertical programs.
