General Information

The Child Development Program within the Vocational School of Social Sciences offers a two-year associate degree after high school education. Students are selected by the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Of the 55 student quotas of the program, 9 are scholarship, 41 are 50% discount and 5 are fee-based. Students are required to take and pass every compulsory course; at the same time, they must maintain a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 in order to graduate. In addition, there is a summer internship requirement of 30 working days for graduation. Graduates of the Child Development Program can transfer to the 4-year departments within the Faculties of Health Sciences and School of Health and Faculty of Education of universities with DGS (Vertical Transfer Exam) with EA score. The language of instruction of the program is Turkish.
