General Information

The Child Development Program within the Social Sciences Vocational School offers two-year associate degree education after high school education. Students are selected by the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS), which is conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Of the 40 student quota of the program, 6 are scholarships, 32 are 25% discounted and 2 are paid. Students must take and pass all the compulsory courses; at the same time they need to have a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 in order to graduate. In addition, there is a summer internship requirement covering 30 business days for graduation. Graduates of Child Development Program can transfer to 4-year departments affilliated to the Faculties of Health Sciences and Faculty of Education with DGS (Vertical Transfer Exam). The language of the program is Turkish.
