Key Learning Outcomes

  • To be able to develop new perspectives on theory, policy and practice in the field of educational administration based on knowledge, experience and research competencies and to be able to produce new solutions to problems in the field of educational administration.
  • To categorize new knowledge in educational administration drawing from methodology and possess qualitative and quantitative research skills at analysis, synthesis and evaluation level.
  • To be able to develop new scientific methods that will provide different perspectives on current issues in the field of educational administration, to be able to adapt and apply the methods developed in different disciplines to the field.
  • To be able to analyze the new ideas in the field of organization and management in general and educational administration in particular and the changes in the internal and external environment of the educational system from a critical perspective and to develop judgments by reaching syntheses for the effectiveness of educational systems.
  • To possess team work and leadership qualities to collaborate with other related disciplines through conducting interdisciplinary research.
  • To internalize and practice ethical principles in theory and practice in the field.
  • To handle the social relations among policy makers, researchers, practitioners and people who work in other disciplines and handle the norms by critical thinking that direct the relationships and manage the relationships in order to develop the studies in educational administration and supervision.
  • To demonstrate the presentation and discussion skills to defend the original knowledge and findings in front of expert academics in academic events.
  • To master at least one foreign language at advanced level in terms of speaking, writing and fully communicate.
  • To be aware of cultural differences while communicating across national, international and interdisciplinary studies.
  • To develop new strategies and tools related with Human Resources Management by evaluating the problems in educational organizations considering the inherent features of education and interdisciplinary developments.
  • To contribute to the development of educational organizations and the process of becoming an information society by introducing new approaches in the field of educational administration to people and institutions related to education.
  • To produce solutions for the mechanisms of the education system, and the social, scientific and ethical drives of these mechanisms as well as test the validity of these solutions natianally and internationally.
  • To contribute to the knowledge-based economic development through evaluating the contribution of education to the economic development within knowledge society.
  • To lead nationally and internationally the political debates that would guide the Turkish Education system, based on the social, cultural, economic and international developments by evaluating the current dominant education policies and their sources.
  • To conduct interdisciplinary studies drawing from the knowledge and skills gained in the field by grasping the relationship between management, law,psychology, sociology, philosophy, economics, politics and other related disciplines.
  • To contribute to the management of educational institutions in the context of human rights and fundamental freedoms, taking into account the current regulations in the constitution and laws by evaluating the relations between education and law in terms of educational organizations.
  • To be able to develop new perspectives at the national level by analyzing the reflections of international education policies on national education policies.
