COURSE DEFINITION | This course aims to introduce the basic concepts and theories of pragmatics; interlanguage pragmatics, pragmatic competence, and intercultural competence as well application of politeness theory in English language teaching. Moreover, it seeks to create awareness regarding the significance of developing pragmatic competence in language teaching and develop prospective language teachers? skills to prepare materials for developing language learners? pragmatic and intercultural competence. |
