At the end of this course, the students; 1) Will be able to know the major concepts and theories about adolescence, 2) Will be able to recognize biological changes in adolescence period, 3) Will be able to recognize cognitive changes in adolescence period, 4) Will be able to recognize psycho-social changes in adolescence period, 5) Will be able to recognize relations between parents and young, and factors about these relations, 6) Will be able to know peer relations and specific factors, 7) Will be able to know identification and difficulties and influences in this process, 8) Will be able to know autonomy and moral development, 9) Will be able to recognize closeness and important factors about it, 10) Will be able to know sex and attitudes about it, 11) Will be able to know achievement motivation and factors in professional achievement, 12) Will be able to recognize psychosocial problems in adolescence period, and guide and attitudes about problems.

COURSE DEFINITION
This course covers personality development, social development, Freud's psyhoanalytic theory, Ericson's psychosocial theory, identity confusion, behavior disorders, crime and violence, alcohol and substance use, hyperactivity, depression-suicide, eating disorders, sexual disorders, schizophrenia, self-esteem and desicion making, sosyological process in adulthood problems, young and their problems in different structure in Turkey, subcultures in adolescence and adolescence gaps.
