LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Will be able to define the concepts of technology planning, 2) Will be able to know models of technology planning, 3) Will be able to know the necessary components for technology planning, 4) Will be able to develop and evaluate a model of technology planning for suitable conditions.

COURSE DEFINITION	The course will provide fundamentals of technology planning for educational organizations. Instructional and administrative issues in instructional technology planning. Characteristics of technology managers vs. technology leaders. Hardware & Software & Peopleware planning and assessment strategies. Staff development models for innovative organizations. Maintenance, upgrading & follow-up issues for IT and diffusion of innovation models for long-term planning.
