LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Will be able to explain the nutritional therapy of pediatric diseases that require lifelong special nutrition.
2) Will be able to plan appropriate nutritional therapy in acute situations encountered in childhood (diarrhea, dehydration, hypoglycemia, ketosis, constipation, etc.).
3) Emphasize the differences between hospitalized child /chronically ill child nutrition.
4) will be able to choose the food and suitable foods specific to the disease.
5) The patient can give nutrition education to the child's family and to himself if he is over 7 years old.
6) Evaluates the nutritional status of the child and can inform the family to take the necessary precautions.

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course covers the essential knowledge and skills for understanding childhood diseases and nutrition. This course aims to help students in making decisions on medical nutrition therapy and reviewing the recent articles in order to improve themselves.
