COURSE DEFINITIONThe nutritional principles of a special group of vegetarians and the effects of vegetarian nutrition on quality of life and health will be examined.

1st Week Introduction to vegetarian nutrition
2nd Week Vegetarian diet types
3rd Week Evaluation of vegetarian diets in terms of health
4th Week Nutritional evaluation of vegetarian diets (CHO, protein, fat, vitamin-mineral)
5th Week Nutritional evaluation of vegetarian diets (CHO, protein, fat, vitamin-mineral) continued
6th Week Consequences of insufficient intake of proteins or failure to maintain amino acid balance
7th Week Vegetarian diets and risk groups (baby, child, adolescent, pregnant, lactating, elderly, athlete)
8th Week Midterm
9th Week Vegetarian diets and risk groups (baby, child, adolescent, pregnant, lactating, elderly, athlete)
10th Week General recommendations for an adequate and balanced vegetarian diet, menu examples and recipes for vegetarian individuals
