LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) will gain knowledge about legislative regulations concerning emergency and disaster interpreters.
2) will acquire competence in basic terminology of emergency and disaster interpreting and gain necessary translating skills.
3) will achieve awareness of intercultural dimension of emergency and disaster interpreting and attitudes required for interpreters to possess.

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course aims to enhance students? interpreting skills with intense interpreting practices in a conference setting. Students are expected to develop strategies to control stress and to deal with various speakers and different dictions of non-native English speakers.
