LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) will gain experience by taking an active role in the translation process.
2) will be able to find solutions to problems encountered during the process with the help of acquired skills.
3) will be able to evaluate their own roles and responsibilities as translators.

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course aims to teach students how to prepare a scholarly research project on a topic related to translation. English-Turkish translation of a text of substantial lenght will be assigned to students. The project will be supervised by a faculty member.

1st Week Explanation of the scoop of the project
2nd Week Discussion about the topics that can be study within the scoop of the Project and determining the topic of the Project
3rd Week Explanation of the APA format and designating the course of the Project
4th Week Literature Review
5th Week Literature Review
6th Week Completing the Introduction part of the Project
7th Week Completing and editing the Introduction part of the Project
8th Week Midterm- Submission of the first part of the project
9th Week Explanation of the theoretical background of the Project in details
10th Week Completing the body of the Project
11th Week Completing and editing the body of the Project
12th Week Writing the report of the study conducted within the scoop of the Project
13th Week Completing the conclusion part of the Project
14th Week Preparing the reference part of the Project and proofreading of the whole Project
15th Week Final Exam- Submitting the Project
