1) be able to define social sciences text types and comprehend the differences between them.
2) learn the methods in order to be able to translate different social science text types and apply them during the process of translation.
3) obtain advanced terminology knowledge by translating social sciences texts.

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course aims to inform students about different linguistic properties of social sciences texts and their influence on translation and terminology (from cultural differences, content, word selection, textual function, syntactic structures, point of view etc.). The aim of this course is to introduce students to the language used in various fields of social sciences and business management and to provide them to gain a sound jargon and terminology knowledge.
