At the end of this course, the students; 1) will have comprehensive knowledge of various types of texts and discourse styles necessary for translation. 2) will develop their knowledge of English grammar and spelling rules. 3) will acquire basic reading comprehension and writing skills which they need in their academic life and while translating.

COURSE DEFINITION
This course aims to introduce the students various text-types and different discourses that are necessary for translation. Through the coursework and class discussions, students develop their reading comprehension and writing skills. The primary focus of the course will be on grammar, punctuation, spelling and writing style. The coursework and assignments will provide students with different styles and techniques of writing. Students, at the end of the course, will be able to develop their language skills required for translation and further academic studies.
