LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Will be able to know about historical development of travel agencies and make prediction about the future developments.
2) Will be able to determine basic knowledge at tourism distribution and distribution nets, discuss the importance of travel agencies in distribution nets.
3) Will be able to know about work frame and activities of travel agencies and make comparisons on travel agency activities.
4) Will be able to know legislative frame work, laws and regulations of travel agencies.
5) Will be able to compare similarities and differences of systems of travel agencies and tour operators, make deductions about these enterprises.
6) Will be able to define basic management functions and familiarize human resources management applied at travel companies.
7) Will be able to define basic marketing functions and familiarize marketing management applied at travel companies.
8) Will be able to know about applications of travel companies.

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course aims to give theoretical and practical hints to students about tour operating system, functions of travel agencies, distribution system, and historical period; educate and prepare them for the business world.
