At the end of this course, the students; 1) Will be able to know the definition and importance of marketing in tourism industry. 2) Will be able to explain marketing and its environment in tourism industry. 3) Will be able to know the marketing information systems and the techniques and process of market search. 4) Will be able to explain touristic demand, tourism markets and the importance and process of market segmentation. 5) Will be able to know touristic product, pricing, promotion and distribution channels of tourism. 6) Will be able to know the international tourism marketing dimensions and systems.

COURSE DEFINITION | This course aims to provide thorough understanding of the specific marketing challenges facing tourism businesses from both theoretical and practical perspective. Tourism marketing environment, the process of segmentation, competitive positioning in the marketplace and the management of the marketing mix will be analyzed. |
