At the end of this course, the students; 1) Defines the concept of family. Grasps the structure and values ??of the family. 2) Evaluate approaches to parenting styles. 3) Plans Parent Education Programs. 4) Plans parent involvment studies in early childhood education. 5) Evaluates the programs prepared for the education of families. 6) Determines the importance of family in early childhood education. 7) Evaluates family understanding and child rearing approaches in different cultures. 8) Explains the importance of parent involvement in early childhood education. 9) Brings forward new proposals for family education and family involvment.

COURSE DEFINITION
Within this course it is aimed to investigate the basic concepts of family education; the importance, objectives and principles of family education; family education models; family theories (Family System Theory, Social Theory, Bioecological Theory, Structural Functional Theory); family education practices in Turkey and in other countries; planning, implementing and evaluating family education studies; methods and techniques used in family education; family involvement activities (family communication activities, family involvement to activities, individual interviews, home visits); review the Integrated Family Support Education Guide for 0-36 months (EBADER) and the Pre-School Education Program Integrated Family Support Education Guide (OBADER) with the Early Childhood Education Program.
