LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT |
At the end of this course, the students; 1) Gains information about national and international regulations on child protection. 2) To be able to relate the basic principles of the Juvenile Law with other law branches and with different legal disputes. 3) To be able to assess the current legislations on what rules to apply in cases related to the Juvenile Law in order to offer new solutions to probable legal shortcomings. 4) Being able to evaluate the juvenile delinquency in terms of criminology and the speciality of the execution of the punishments fort he juveniles.

COURSE DEFINITION | Within the scope of this course, it is aimed to inform the students about national and transnational regulations aiming to protect children and general principles. With this course, individuals who will work with the child, the types of child abuse and neglect, identification, identifying and understanding the correct approaches, defining and evaluating child protection policies and procedures in childcare settings, working with abused children, abusers and non-abuser caregivers, To define and analyze their own feelings and assumptions, to gain the ability to support children and their families by considering the wide variety of cultural interpretations of parenting and abuse. |
