1) Understands mathematical thinking.
2) Explains the content of mathematics curriculum that is developed for preschool children.
3) Explains the principles of mathematics.

5) Recognizes the materials to develop mathematical thinking.

COURSE DEFINITIONIn this course, it is aimed to gain the competencies related to mathematics topics and concepts in early childhood education, the development of mathematical thinking skills in early childhood, the activity and material preparation for mathematics. In addition, it is aimed to make applications for integrating mathematics activities with the types of activities in the MONE Early Childhood Education program.

3rd Week Development of thought in children and the development of mathematical thought
4th Week Concepts and processes prior to learning to count (classifying, comparing, matching, distinguishing, ordering)
5th Week Concepts and processes prior to learning to count (classifying, comparing, matching, distinguishing, ordering)
6th Week Concepts and processes prior to learning to count (classifying, comparing, matching, distinguishing, ordering)
7th Week Counting and numbers, graphics, geometry, measurement, data collection
8th Week MIDTERM
9th Week Problem solving (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing)
10th Week Problem solving (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing)
11th Week Problem solving (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing)
12th Week Mathematical programmes for children from around the world
