LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) They gain a certain knowledge about the concept of museums.
2) They understand the importance and necessity of museums, the contribution of museum observations to their creativity while creating a creative product in any field.
3) They have a certain knowledge about the concept of creativity (what is creativity, creative personality characteristics, barriers to creativity and developing factors, convergent-divergent thinking etc.)
4) They develop their creative thinking with creative problem-solving programs.
5) They learn the stages of creativity and creativity in brain; reinforce their knowledge with artist prefixes.
6) They realize their knowledge with their midterm and final projects.

COURSE DEFINITIONThe content of this course includes: questioning the contribution of museums to creativity, which is the best indicator of what has been done in that field, while putting forward a creative product in any field, and putting theoretical knowledge into practice with scheduled museum visits; gaining a certain knowledge about creativity; convergent thinking, divergent thinking; creative individual characteristics; creativity and culture, creativity and education; barriers to creativity, necessities of creativity; whole brain creativity; theoretical and visual information on creative problem solving programs and project studies.
COURSE CONTENTS
WEEKTOPICS
1st Week Preliminary Survey. Information about the definition of the course, its objectives, the course program and the projects
2nd Week What is creativity? What are the types of creativity? Creative personality traits, personality lines and creativity.
3rd Week Creative thinking theories
4th Week The effect of museums on stimulating imagination and creative thinking. Creative thinking in the education system: divergent and convergent thinking.
5th Week Museum and creativity, creativity and culture. Art museums and creative thinking.
6th Week Presentation
7th Week Presentation
8th Week Midterm
9th Week Creativity and intelligence, creativity and gender. What are the barriers to creativity and the factors that enhance creativity?
10th Week Ethnography, archeology, industry, science museums and creative thinking.
11th Week Creative Problem Solving Programs.
12th Week Whole brain creativity. An example of artistic creation process; Picasso and Guernica.
13th Week Presentation
14th Week Presentation. Final Survey. Final Week.
