At the end of this course, the students; 1) Will analyze the role and effect of communication tools in shaping social memory in different ways in societies. 2) Will be informed about why social events and traumas are remembered/forgotten in different ways and how to come to terms with past on the axis of these differences. 3) Will learn about the power of mass media in the democratization of memory.
