Specific Admission Requirements
Student admission requirements for the Sociology Thesis Master Program are listed below:
1. 4 year faculty bachelor degree graduates can apply. There is no scientific preparation program in our program.
2. For admission to graduate programs, at least 55 ALES or minimum of 149 GRE or GMAT score of 450 must be taken from any of the Verbal or Equal Weight scores.
3. Candidates are required to speak a certain level of foreign language in order to be admitted to the postgraduate program. Candidates will be directly interviewed if they have documented that they have foreign language knowledge at the desired level from any of the exams listed below.
4. Those who submit documents of one of the foreign language exams made by Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) on the condition that being one of the languages which is accepted for associate professorship by the InterUniversity Council other than English.

Candidates who do not have any of the documents related to the above-mentioned exams must pass the English exam to be held by Başkent University English Preparatory Department. Candidates can be successful by getting at least 55 points in the English exam. Candidates whose English level is not found to be sufficient in their master's programs can participate in the intensive language education program in the English Preparatory Department of our University.
Since the language of instruction of the department is Turkish, a Certificate of Proficiency (TÖMER) will be requested from foreign candidates who will apply to the Master's program.
Candidates who meet all the above conditions are entitled to enroll if they are successful in the interview organized by our department. |
