Profile of the Programme

The main purpose of the Anatomy and Clinical Anatomy Doctorate Program is to enable the doctoral students to evaluate the anatomical structures in the human body, their structural features, their positions in the body, their blood supply and innervation in a functional and clinical context, and to enable them to conduct advanced research in this direction. After completing their seminars and courses in the first four semesters, students must be successful in the proficiency exam. After the proficiency exam is successfully completed, each student, together with the advisor, finds a unique research topic and starts the thesis work in this direction. The thesis work must be completed within four semesters following the proficiency exam. After the completed thesis is presented to the Institute of Health Sciences, it must be defended orally in front of a five-person jury, at least two of whom are from outside the university.
