COURSE DEFINITION	Analysis of atonal pieces in terms of post-tonal theory.
COURSE CONTENTS	WEEK TOPICS 1st Week Introduction to Post-Tonal Theory I course. Basic concepts. 2nd Week Basic terms and definitions - 1: Octave equilzation, pitch class, enharmonic equilibrium, total notation, mod12, intervals, pitch intervals. 3rd Week Basic terms and definitions 4th Week Webern, Three Songs - "Wie bin ich froh!", Op. 25 Schoenberg, Pierrot Lunaire - "Nacht,", Op. 21 5th Week Pitch-class sets, normal form, transposition (Tn),inversion (TnI), index number (sum), other type of inversion. 6th Week "Set class. Prime form, segmentation and analysis.
