At the end of this course, the students; 1) Define standardization, subject, learning objectives and principles, to comprehend the benefits provided by the manufacturer ,the consumer and the economy of standardization. 2) Learn standards and standardization activities in Turkey, the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) and understand the duties. 3) Learn accreditation and certification activities in Turkey, regional and international standardization organizations, national and international metrology and calibration activities and learn about organizations, learn about the CE marking. 4) Learn the definition of quality, quality related concepts , the relationship between the quality concepts ,to understand quality approaches 5) Understand the relationship between quality and productivity, and learn quality costs and risks, to understand the benefits of quality assurance , learn about the concept of quality control. 6) Understand the total quality management and Kaizen. 7) Understand the Quality management systems and the professional standards.
