At the end of this course, the students;
1) Will be able to know definition on computer networks and history of development,
2) Will be able to explain various network models,
3) Will be able to compare local and wide area networks,
4) Will be able to make IP calculations and addressing,
5) Will be able to explain how client-server structure work on a network,
6) Will be able to recommend individual and network security policies,
7) Will be able to describe wireless networks.

| COURSE DEFINITION | The course introduces the underlying concepts and principles of computer networks. It presents the different components of a network and how these components fit together. Network operating systems. Management of local computer networks. Computer conferencing, distance education. Educational uses of all the technologies learned. |
