1) Will be able to comprehend the parts of a computer system
2) Will be able to work with operating systems effectively
3) Will be able to use software active and efficiently
4) Will be able to operate on Word processing software for graphics and typing
5) Will be able to use macros, calculations and formulas on spreadsheet software Ms-Excel
6) Will be able to prepare and present effective powerpoint slides
7) Will be able to use basic drawing and graphics programs
8) Will be able to comprehend ethical issues and user rights as well as security issues in internet and computers

COURSE DEFINITIONBasic concepts related to information systems in education, introduction to computers. Evolution of computers. Data presentation. Main components of computer systems: CPU, input-output devices, auxiliary storage devices. Microcomputers, operating systems and environments, DOS, Windows. Managing text: processors. Managing numbers: spreadsheets. Development of presentation on computers, creating animations and special effects, using publishing and drawing programs. Impact of computers on society, computer ethic, and security.
