COURSE DEFINITION | ORY100 Introduction to University Life course aim is to introduce the socio-culture life of Başkent University life for better adaptation for freshman undergraduate students. |

1st Week | Students who has compulsory English preparatory education at their programs are suggested register the ORY100 course in the fall semester; It is recommended that undergraduate students, and conservatory students who are exempt from the preparatory class take this course in the fall semester of the first academic year of their education. This course is carried out on the basis of 2-3 days in a semester and its ECTS credit is 1. | 2nd Week | The seminars included in the content of the ORY100 course are determined as compulsory and elective. With the exception of non-fixed scheduled sections, other students can create their own program by making a choice within their interests. The contents can be in the form of interviews, interactive presentations and workshops in accordance with the scope of elective seminars. | 3rd Week | |

ASSESSMENT METHODS AND CRITERIA | Grading is done by considering the points according to the number of participation in the activities. One of the letter grades stated in the table below is determined by the ORY100 Coordinator according to the total score obtained by the students from the activities they participated in. Students who get F2 fail the course. The ORY 100 course cannot be taken again to increase the GPA. Unsuccessful students must take the course again in the following fall semester. |
