LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Understand the key concepts that define and distinguish living systems.
2) Will explain the basic building blocks of biology.
3) Will define cellular biology, genetics, and protein synthesis.
4) Will be able to analyze the biological foundations of behavior.
5) Will make inferences about the effects of different biological systems (nervous system, muscular system, endocrine system, immune system, etc.) on human behavior.
6) Explain the general trends in the history of animal evolution and diversification.
7) Will make reasoning based on the theory of evolution.

COURSE DEFINITIONGeneral Biology course, enables students have knowledge on human biology and biological systems as the basic building blocks. In addition, they learn the methods of identification and analysis of the biological basis of behavior. Among the subjects of the course are cell machinery, genetics, heredity, protein synthesis, organ systems, nervous system and evolution.
