1) Will be able to explain the state of newborn health in the world and in our country.
2) Will be able to explain the factors affecting newborn health.
3) Will be able to evaluate pain in newborn.
4) Will be able to explain ethical situations in newborns.
5) Will be able to plan high-risk situations and basic principles of care in newborns using critical thinking skills.

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course provides the student with knowledge and skills on advanced nursing management of newborns hospitalized in the neonatal intensive care unit.

11th Week Transitioning Newborns from NICU to Home
12th Week Seminar Presentation (student)(thermoregulation in the newborn, transport of newborn, parent-infant interaction)
13th Week Seminar Presentation (student)(kangaroo care, drug therapy in the newborn, palliative care in the newborn)
