LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Will be able to recognize the basic concepts of nursing.
2) Will be able to comprehend the nursing process and its stages.
3) Will be able to identfy the factors that may affect individual, family and community health.
4) Will be able to comprehend the importance of the concepts of protection, maintenance and improvement of health at the level of individual, family and society.

COURSE DEFINITIONIn this course, biological and social science concepts are integrated with the nursing concepts and nursing history, professionalism, the basic concepts of care ( human-health-disease-environmentholism) and care models, systematic approaches in care, communication models, health and factors affecting health are introduced. In this course, the student captures the dynamic structure of the health and care services and the role of the nurse in the health team
