At the end of this course, the students; 1) Explain the differences between definitions by defining communication, language and speaking skills orally. 2) Classifies communication disorders. 3) Explains the importance of hearing loss in communication disorder orally and in writing. 4) Defines language disorders and expresses why and symptoms verbally and in writing. 5) Defines speech disorders and expresses why and symptoms verbally and in writing. 6) Defines sound disorders and expresses why and symptoms verbally and in writing. 7) In the scanning and scanning of communication disorders, it fulfills its responsibilities given in multidisciplinary studies within the description of the task.

COURSE DEFINITION
This course will cover basic anatomy, physiology and pathologies of hearing, voice, speech and language functions and diagnosis and habilitative / rehabilitative methods of their pathologies. It is aimed to discuss the sound production, sound waves (sinusoidal, complex, periodic, aperiodic), frequency, intensity, resonance concepts. Ear (external, middle and inner), larynx, vocal tract, respiratory system, oral and nasal cavity, articulators and anatomy and physiology of central system will be covered as well. Psychoacoustics, subjective / objective evaluation of hearing problems and their conventional and digital amplification and cochlear implantation for rehabilitation will be studied.
