Key Learning Outcomes

  • Students know basic medical science concepts and principles and clinical problems related to physiotherapy and rehabilitation; analyze in line with reasoning and problem-solving processes, and make the necessary measurement, evaluation, identification, and planning with a biopsychosocial perspective and effective communication skills. They use methods such as guidelines, protocols, instructions, and clinical decision-making, checking periodically and rearranging when necessary and determining treatment goals, and informing patients and their relatives.
  • Students apply for physiotherapy and rehabilitation programs systematically and confidentially by using advanced level and up-to-date knowledge and skill earnings in line with ethical principles, patient privacy, occupational autonomy, and legislation. They gain knowledge about the legal consequences of all physiotherapy and rehabilitation applications.
  • Students contribute to creating national and international health policies according to changing and diversifying needs of the community in the physiotherapy and rehabilitation scope and orienting people for healthy life and protection of public health. They also administrate developing processes that work and receive in occupational safety area; solves problems in line with knowledge and evidence.
  • Students conduct professional and academic studies independently by using his/her knowledge, and works as a team in the framework of interdisciplinary communication and cooperation with other professional groups who work in this field, preserving the identity and consciousness of physiotherapist and taking responsibility.
  • Students plan scientific research about physiotherapy and rehabilitation, define research and statistical concepts of related research within the framework of ethical rules in the process of execution, reporting, archiving, presentation, and development, and attend all stages of this research.
  • Students adopt personal development, information literacy, and lifelong learning. They contribute to quality improvement, education in different disciplines, and professional promotion programs. They represent their profession at national and international level.
