LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) To know about sports that people with disability can do.
2) To know physiological and functional differences between disable athletes and non-disabled people.
3) To know the difficulties encountered in doing sports
4) To recognize sport specific injuries and rehabilitation applications.
5) To be able to transfer gained theoretical knowledge into the clinical practice

COURSE DEFINITIONThe course contains detailed information about sports in physically, visually, mentally, hearing impaired individuals, rules and classification systems and physiotherapy practices in disabled athletes.

4th Week Functional compensations and physiological differences indisabled athlete.

6th Week Assessment in disabled athlete
7th Week Classification in disabled sports.
8th Week Equipment and orthoses used in disabled sport.
9th Week Sport specific injuries and protection methods in disabled sports.
10th Week Exam II
11th Week Physiotherapy and rehabilitation after sports injuries in disabled sport
12th Week Psychology in disabled individuals and variations of social point of view.
13th Week Adolescent disabled athlete
