At the end of this course, the students; 1) will become familiar with legalese and its properties and rules. 2) will acquire extensive terminology knowledge by observing different judicial systems. 3) will be able to translate between Turkish-English language pairs and find solutions to challenges encountered.

COURSE DEFINITION | The aim of this course is to inform students about different fields of law, to introduce them to different judicial systems, and to make it possible for students to become familiar with language properties in various legal texts. Students are expected to understand basic concepts both in source language and target language used in the field of law, and to translate different legal texts like agreements and legislations. |
