LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT |
At the end of this course, the students; 1) will comprehend translation-oriented linguistic analysis of literary texts 2) will identify the properties of literary text types and comprehend the phases of literary translation from theoretical and practical point of view. 3) will acknowledge the qualifications, which are necessary for a literary translator to have.

COURSE DEFINITION | This course focuses on text analysis, with different approaches suited to the nature and structure of the text to be translated, followed by actual translation and translation criticism. The students will practice with different genres, figures of speech and stylistic elements. |
