At the end of this course, the students; 1) Describe the general topics of social psychology and identify the main theoretical approaches. 2) Understand that human beings cannot only be determind socially or psychologically and can be manipulated by social relations. 3) Analyze the intersections of sociology and psychology through the intersections of the individual and society. 4) Determine the importance of the aspects such as situation and context in social life and human psychology. 5) Explain the manipulative aspects of social life and human psychology.

COURSE DEFINITION
Social psychology focuses on the results of individuals' thoughts, inner worlds, basic behavior patterns, and encounters with other individuals and social structures. In other words, psychology tries to understand/explain the world of the individual, sociology tries to understand/explain the world of society, while social psychology endeavors to explain different meanings in different contexts of the encounter between society and the individual, and what kind of psychological and sociological situations the individual's effort to exist in society leads to. It deals with the harmony and incompatibility of the individual in the society, the situations of adaptation to the society or conflict with it, through the titles such as help, social harmony, social incompatibility, prejudice, anger/attack, social interaction, and obedience.
