At the end of this course, the students; 1) Know the basic concepts of clinical pharmacy, responsibilities and service areas of clinical pharmacists. 2) Learn the communication strategies with healthcare professionals and patients, drug information and medication therapy management. 3) Learn treatment goals, algorithms and current treatment guidelines in cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, respiratory system, kidney, eye diseases, dermatological disorders, bone and joint disorders, and the role of clinical pharmacist in the management of these diseases.

COURSE DEFINITION
Basic concepts of clinical pharmacy, responsibilities of clinical pharmacists and fields of clinical pharmacy services, medication therapy management, and communication and counseling in this process are provided. In addition, this course covers therapeutic goals, algorithms and current treatment guidelines in cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, respiratory system, kidney, eye diseases, dermatological disorders, bone and joint disorders.
