At the end of this course, the students; 1) Acquire knowledge regarding national and international regulations about cosmetic products; as well as production and marketing of them. 2) Learn the classification of cosmetic preparations and have knowledge about different products applied to various parts of the body. 3) Learn the classification, properties and effects of cosmetic / derma cosmetic substances. 4) Learn the development of conventional and novel cosmetic formulations, targeting of anti-aging products to skin, and quality control tests. 5) Acquire knowledge about the cosmetic applications of nanotechnology. 6) Acquire knowledge and skills to use in further stages of their academic and professional life. 7) Acquire knowledge about the rights and responsibilities, and act ethically and in compliance with regulations as an individual.

COURSE DEFINITION
ECZ426 covers national and international regulations about cosmetic products, the properties, effect and classification of cosmetic and cosmeceutical/dermocosmetic products, cosmetic delivery system, application of nanotechnology in cosmetic, unwanted side effects while using the cosmetic products.
