LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Absorption ,distribution,biotransformation and excretion of toxicants 2) Mechanisms of toxicity and factors affecting toxicity 3) Carcinogenesis and teratogenesis 4) Drug usage in pregnancy and lactation 5) Drug-drug interactios,drug-food interactions and drug-alcohol interactions

COURSE DEFINITION	The course covers following topics:General principles of toxicology,toxicocinetic,,mechanisms of toxic effects,factors affecting toxicity, mutagenesis,carcinogenesis,teratogenesis,drug-drug,drug-food,drug-alcohol interactions,management of poisoning.
