LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) The principles and application of all kinds of chromatography technics,
2) Separation of solid-solid and liquid-liquid mixtures,
3) Some physical properties such as molecular weight, density, melting and boiling points, refractive index, spesific optical rotation and their determination methods.

COURSE DEFINITIONChromatographic technics, separation of liquid-liquid and solid-solid mixtures. Determination of density, boiling point, melting point, refractive index and spesific rotation. Pharmacopea analysis. The principles of various quantitative analyses used in drug analysis (titrimetric, electroanalytic, optical and spectral). Application of quantitative methods to raw materials and pharmaceutical products.
