LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Knows the definition of various instrument analysis methods. Makes qualitative and quantitative analysis of organic and inorganic materials with various chromatographic, spectroscopic and electrochemical methods. Gain knowledge and practical skills using various instrumental analysis methods. Learns how to make active substance (s) analysis from pharmaceutical preparations and drug and metabolite (s) analysis from biological materials (blood, urine, tissue etc.).
2) Knows general information about thin layer and column chromatography and makes qualitative analysis of drugs with this method. Analyzes some transition metal ion mixtures by ion exchange chromatography.
3) Knows the general information about ultraviolet - visible region (UV - GB) and derivative spectrophotometry methods and makes quantitative analysis of drugs and two-component mixtures with these methods.
4) Determination of complex formulas and stability constants by spectrophotometric method (JOB Method)
5) Knows general information about potentiometric titration and calculates the acidic equilibrium constants of a polyprotic acid with this method.
6) Knows general information about conductivity titration and makes quantitative analysis of strong and weak acids with this method.
7) Knows the validation parameters for method validity.
8) Makes application studies on the parameters related to validation through some articles and experiment.
9) After graduation, he can use the information he learned in this course in his work fields.
